About Ivan Pavlov
Ivan Pavlov was a Russian physiologist. He is best known for his body of work in classical conditioning and involuntary reflex actions. He was heavily inspired by the progressive ideas of Dmitry Pisarev and Ivan Sechenov.

His Personal Life
He was born in Ryazan in 1849 and he had 11 siblings. He was married to Seraphima Vasilievna Karchevskaya. They both lived in friends' homes for many years, because of financial problems. They had 5 children, while his wife's first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage. He died in 1936.
