About Hillel Slovak
Hillel Slovak was an Israel-born American guitarist best known for being one of the founding members of the rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers. He contributed massively to the Chili Peppers' early sound and recorded two albums with them - 1985's Freaky Styley and 1987's The Uplift Mofo Party Plan. At the early stages of his career, he developed an addiction to heroin - an addiction which eventually led to his premature death at the age of 26.
Achievements
In 2012, as a member of the Chili Peppers, he was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll hall of Fame.
Trivia
His lifeless body was discovered in his apartment two days after he died of a heroin overdose.
