About Hernán Crespo
Hernan Crespo is an Argentine former footballer whose impressive professional career began with River Plate in 1993. Upon his departure from River Plate in 1996, he played for teams such as Lazio, Inter Mila, Chelsea and Parma. He was a member of the Argentina national football team from 1995 to 2007, during which he appeared in three FIFA World Cup tournaments. By the time he retired from international football, he had become one of Argentina's highest goalscorers of all time. Upon retiring as a footballer in 2012, he began a coaching career and coached a number of teams including Parma.
Achievements
In 2000, when Lazio bought him from Parma for an astonishing €56 million, he became the most expensive player in the world.
In 2004, legendary Brazilian footballer Pelé included him in the FIFA 100, which is his list of the "greatest living footballers".
