About Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow was an American poet known for his numerous educational works such as "Paul Revere's Ride" and “The Song of Hiawatha”. That aside, he also worked as an educator and was a professor at Harvard College, and Bowdoin College.
Most historians have credited Longfellow as America’s first poet to translate the “Divine Comedy” poem which was written by Dante Alighieri. Though he recorded some amount of successes, he was criticized for copying the style of the European poets.
