About Héctor Camacho
Héctor Camacho, also known as "Macho Camacho", was an iconic Puerto Rican professional boxer famous for his speed in the ring as well as for his flamboyant personality. Throughout his career, he won a number of major professional championships such as the WBC Super Featherweight Championship and the WBC Lightweight Championship. His brilliance in the boxing ring saw him win world titles in seven different weight classes and become the first septuple champion in the history of boxing. He tragically lost his life in a drive-by shooting in 2012.
Personal Life
At the young age of 16, he fathered a son named Héctor "Machito" Camacho, Jr., who also became a professional boxer. His marriage to Amy Torres saw him father three more sons: Christian, Justin and Tyler.
Trivia
Throughout his life, he had a number of run-ins with police, including his 2005 arrest for burglary. At the time of his death, he was being charged with physically abusing one of his sons.
