About Harvey Keitel

Harvey Keitel is an American actor famous for starring in such films as 1976's Taxi Driver, 1991's Bugsy and 1996's From Dusk till Dawn. From 2008 to 2009, he starred as Lieutenant Gene Hunt on the U.S. television series Life on Mars , for which he received a Satellite Award nomination.

Personal Life

He and Canadian actress Daphna Kastner tied the knot in 2001. The marriage produced one child. He has two other children from previous relationships.

Trivia

During his younger years, he served in the U.S. Marines and was part of the 1985 Operation Blue Bat mission in Lebanon.

Interviews make him uncomfortable.

Prior to becoming a successful actor, he worked as a court reporter, a job he did for several years.
