Harry Connick Jr. is an American musician and actor known for releasing a number of widely-acclaimed and commercially successful albums, including 1993'sWhen My Heart Finds Christmas and 2004's Only You. As an actor, he is known for his portrayal of Leo Markus on NBC's popular sitcom Will & Grace, Daniel Connelly on 2007's drama film P.S. I Love You and Clay Haskett on 2011's 3D family drama film Dolphin Tale and its 2014 sequel.
Family Life
He was born to Anita Frances and former Orleans Parish district attorney Joseph Harry Fowler Connick Sr. He grew up with a sister named Suzanna. In 1994, he got married to actress and former model Jill Goodacre, with whom he fathered three daughters.
Trivia
In 1992, he was arrested at the JFK International Airport after he was found in possession of a gun. Having spend a day in jail for the crime and agreeing to take part in a public-service commercial against flouting gun laws, all charges against him were dropped.
His mother Anita, who was a New Orleans City Court judge, died of cancer when he was just 13 years old.
