Early Life
Williams is an alumnus of the University of Southern California, where he began playing basketball at an amateur level.
Career
The basketball player made his professional debut with Golden State Warriors in 1975 and played with the team until his contract ended in 1977. He left the team in 1977 and moved to Seattle SuperSonics, where he played until 1984.
Gus Williams had a short stint with the Washington Bullets from 1984 to 1986. The point guard finally settled with the Atlanta Hawks until his retirement in 1987.
Achievements
The point guard was named the 1982s NBA Comeback Player of the Year.
Gus Williams was also an NBA All-Rookie First Team in 1976.
