About Gleb Kotelnikov
Gleb Kotelnikov was a renowned Russian-Soviet inventor who made history as the first person to create the knapsack and drogue parachutes. He started his works in 1911 when he introduced the first parachute which he named RK-1. His innovation became very useful during the First World War which saved the lives of many aviators.
That same year, he obtained the patent for his work. In 1912, he introduced the first-ever drogue parachute which was tested in modern-day St. Petersburg.

He was raised by his father, who was a mathematics professor, and mother who worked as an artist.
