About Gianfranco Zola
Gianfranco Zola is an Italian former football player. After retiring from the game, Zola took up coaching and began his managerial career in 2006, serving as the assistant coach for his nation's national U21 team. He continued his managerial career by becoming the manager of English club, West Ham United in 2008. He has managed several other football clubs including Watford and Birmingham City.
During his playing days, the Italian played for several topflight teams including Napoli, Parma, and Chelsea.He also played for the Italian national team between 1991 and 1997.
He was capped 35 times for Italy since his debut in 1991. Zola is regarded as one of the best Italian forwards of his generation and as one of the best players in Premier League history.
His Awards
During his time in Chelsea Football Club, he won the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup, the UEFA Supercup, two FA Cups, the League Cup, and the Community Shield. He was "Football Writers' Player of the Year" in the 1996–97 season.
His Personal Life
Zola tied the knot with Franca and has three children as of 2020. One of his children, Andrea, is also a footballer and has featured for the reserves team of West Ham United.
