She studied French and literature at the University of Melbourne on a Teacher's College Scholarship.

Writing

She further became the co-founder of an adult-themed magazine titled "Suck" between 1969 and 1974. However, Greer parted ways with Europe's premier magazine in 1972 when a naked photograph of her lying down with her legs over her shoulders and her face peering between her thighs was published. According to reports, the photo had been submitted on the understanding that naked photographs of all the editors would be published in a book for a film festival.
After her resignation, Greer participated in several television shows and focused her attention on writing full-time.
