Considered as one of the best golfers in history, Gary Player won a total of nine PGA Tour Championships. Nicknamed the “International Ambassador of Golf”, the Johannesburg-born golfer also won the 1965 edition of the U.S. Open, making him the youngest player to do so.
Before retiring from the sport, he won more than 100 professional competitions on six different continents.
