Personal Life
Charles Thomas Aldrich Jr was the son of Gloria Gordon and Charles Thomas Aldrich. Gloria was an actress and she had great influence concerning the direction of his career.
Career
He started his acting career in 1942 when he played the role of Otis Cadwalader in “Here We Go Again”. In 1950, he starred in “A Woman of Distinction”, then he played District Attorney Evans in “Francis Covers the Big Town” and Brigadier General W. A. Thorwald in “Rally ‘Round the Flag, Boys!”. In 1959, he was cast in “Don’t Give Up the Ship” where he was given the part of congressman Mandeville and “The 30 Foot Bride of Candy Rock” in the role of Raven Rossiter. Other shows he has been on include “Hi Honey, I’m Home!”, “The Honeymooners Christmas Special”, “Dennis the Menace” and “All in a Night’s Work”.
Achievement
He made it to the Radio Hall of Fame in 1999 and is also on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Death
Gordon was diagnosed with Lung cancer which later claimed his life in 1995.
