About Frank Zappa
Frank Zappa was an American rock star, songwriter and actor who gained stardom with his band the Mothers of Invention and as a solo artist. Some of his well-known songs include Peaches En Regalia, Don't Eat the Yellow Snow, Joe's Garage and Montana.
Achievements
In 1995, he was posthumously honored with an induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In 1997, he received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. He was added to Rolling Stone magazine's lists of 100 Greatest Artists of All Time and 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time in 2004 and 2011 respectively.
Personal Life
His first marriage was to Kay Sherman from 1960 to 1964. He was married to his second wife Adelaide Gail Sloatman from 1967 until his death in 1993. He had four children with Adelaide.
