About Frank Thomas
Frank Thomas is an American retired professional baseball player who played in the first baseman and designated hitter positions. He started his career in Major League Baseball (MLB) in 1990 with the Chicago White Sox. After 15 years with the White Sox, he joined the Oakland Athletics in 2006. He also played for the Toronto Blue Jays (2007-2008) and ended his career with a second stint with the Athletics in 2008.

He grew up in Columbus, Georgia where he graduated from Columbus High School.
Achievements
He is an inductee of the National Baseball Hall of Fame and the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame. He was the recipient of four Silver Slugger Awards and five All-Star honors.
Trivia
In July 2011, the White Sox unveiled his statue at the U.S. Cellular Field, the home stadium of the Sox.
