About Fedor von Bock
Fedor von Bock was a German Army officer who began his service in the Reichswehr in 1898. He was promoted to the General Staff rank in 1908 following a year in the Berlin War Academy. He later joined the Deutscher Wehrverein before being made a captain prior to the commencement of the First World War.
During WWII, he served as the Generalfeldmarschall of the army. He also commanded both the Army Group North, and the Army Group B.
Family
His parents were Moritz Albert Karl von Bock, a military officer, and his spouse Olga Helene Franziska von Falkenhayn. His first marriage to Mally Lonny Anna Marga Klara von Reichenbach ended in 1910. Twenty-six years later, he tied the knot with Wilhelmine Gottliebe Jenny von Boddien. The couple was blessed with a daughter.
