Fala Chen is an actress and a model from China. She is popular with her roles in TV series such as “Triumph in the Skies II”, “Lives of Omission” and “No Regrets”.
Career
She started modeling when she was in college. Though she was not a professional model, she took that job as a source of livelihood. After she took the 1st runner-up position in the 2005 Miss Chinese International Pageant, her acting career began.
Chen started acting professionally in 2005 when she was signed by Television Broadcasts Limited. Her first role was Yung Wai in the series “Forensic Heroes”. Since then, Chen has starred in several TV series including “The Ultimate Crime Fighter” in 2007, “A Journey Called Life” in 2008, “In the Eye of the Beholder” in 2010 and “Queens of Diamonds and Hearts” in 2012.
In 2009, she made her movie debut with “Turning Point”. Other movies she has been featured in include “72 Tenants of Prosperity”and “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings”.
Education
She was educated at Emory University and the Juilliard School.
Family
She was born to Chen Fengsheng. In 2008, she got married to Daniel Sit but divorced him in 2013. In 2019, she married her second husband named Emmanuel Straschnov. She mothers a child.
Awards
In 2002, she was the winner of the Miss Asian America Pageant. In 2004, she was awarded the Miss NY Chinese Awards for “Best MTV”, “Best Costume” and “Miss Photogenic”. Also, she won the TVB Anniversary Awards for “Best Supporting Actress” in 2010. The following year, she was awarded “Best Actress in a Supporting Role” at the 16th Asian Television Award. That same year, she won the StarHub TVB Awards for “My Favorite TVB Female Character” and “The Perfect Smile Award”.
In 2012, Chen won the StarHub TVB Awards for “My Favorite TVB Female Character”, the TVB8 Golden Music Awards for “Best Newcomer Award” and the “Newcomer Impact Award” by the Jade Solid Gold Best Ten Music Awards Presentation. Additionally, she won the 2013 TVB Star Awards Malaysia for “Favourite TVB Character”, “Best Chinese Actress in TV Series” at the 10th Huading Awards and “Best Newcomer Award” by the IFPI Hong Kong Top Sales Music Awards.

She is 1.71 m tall. Chen speaks four languages including English, Mandarin and Japanese.
Chen serves as the Hong Kong Cancer Fund's Pink Ambassador for the Pink Revolution Campaign.
