About Erykah Badu
Erykah Badu is an American singer and songwriter who gained critical acclaim and recognition with her 1997 debut album Baduizm, which produced the hit single On & On. She went on to receive further exposure with hits such as Next Lifetime, Didn't Cha Know? and Honey. Her success in the neo soul genre led to her being dubbed the "Queen of neo-soul". Beyond music, she has appeared in a number of films such as Blues Brothers 2000 and House of D.
Personal Life
She had her first son Seven with rapper André 3000 in 1997. She also has two daughters named Puma and Mars whose fathers are rappers The D.O.C. and Jay Electronica respectively.
Trivia
In 2010, she was charged with disorderly conduct after she appeared nude in public during the filming of the music video of her song Window Seat.
