His birth name is Erik Ki La Salle and was the son of Ada Haynes. He took his studies very seriously and this took him far in life. He attended schools including Weaver High School, Tisch School of the Arts and Julliard.
Career
He started acting right out of school, he got his first role in the play “Henry V”, a production by Shakespeare in the Park. In 1985, he was cast in “Out of the Darkness”, “Rappin’” and “Cut and Run”. In 1986, he played the role of Deputy Bernie Miles in “Where Are the Children?”. He was also in “One Life to Live”, “Spenser: For Hire” and “ABC Afterschool Special”. He has also worked on shows like “Rebound: The Legend of Earl", “The Goat” Manigault”, “Law and Order: Special Victims Unit”, “Under the Dome” and “Once Upon a Time”.
Achievement
In 1996, he won the Magnolia Stage Award for Best supporting actor in the show “E.R”.
