About Eric Dickerson
A first-round and second overall pick by the Los Angeles Rams during the 1983 National Football League (NFL) draft, Eric Dickerson went on to have a successful career in the league. In 1987, he moved from the Rams to the Indianapolis Colts for which he played until 1991.
The running back also played for the Los Angeles Raiders and Atlanta Falcons before his last appearance in the league in 1993. After 24 years, he signed a one-day contract with the Los Angeles Rams to enable him retire with the team officially.
Personal Life
He has been married to Penny Sutton, the mother of his two children.
Achievements
He played in six Pro Bowl games and made it to five All-Pro First teams. He was named the “Offensive Player of the Year” by the NFL in 1986 and the NFC in 1983, 1984 and 1986.
Trivia
He is a Pro Football Hall of Famer.
