About Eric Brewer
At the prime of his career, especially in Tampa and St. Louis, he was esteemed by hockey analysts as a top 2-way defenceman in the NHL. Over the course of his 16-year NHL career, he wore the jerseys of such eminent teams as the Islanders, the Oilers, the Bolts and the Anaheim Ducks.

Raised in Ashcroft, BC, Eric Brewer was born in British Columbia, Canada. He followed the hockey trail in the Ashcroft Minor Hockey Program.
Career Highlights
After a great performance with the Kamloops Blazers of the BCAHA, he played with the PG Cougars and earned the “Rookie of the Year" title in his debut season. In June 1997, he was drafted in the 1st round, 5th overall by the New York Islanders.
Brewer also suited up for Team Canada at the 1998 IIHF World Junior Championship. He played for Canada in 5 IIHF World Championships during which period, he scored 3 gold medals. Prior to his retirement in 2015, he played 16 seasons in the NHL.
