About Eoin Colfer
Eoin Colfer taught at a local primary school before starting his writing career. His first published work came in 1998, but gained national attention three years later when he released the first book of the “Artemis Fowl” series.
Aside from his numerous books, he has also worked for other organizations. In 2016, he wrote “Iron Man: The Gauntlet” for Marvel Comics. He was also contracted to write the book “And Another Thing ...” which was included in the famous “Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy” series.
Other works
Colfer has also made a name for himself in the film industry. His first task in the business was to write the script for the 2014 movie “Poison Pen”. The Irish writer has written a number of stage plays which include the 2016 musical entitled “Noel”. From 2014 to 2016, he worked as the Laureate na nÓg.
Family
He has been married to Jackie Colfer with whom he fathers two children called Finn and Sean.
Trivia
Some of his well-known books are titled “The Supernaturalist” and “Half Moon Investigations”.
