Bergl is an actress who appeared in famous TV series such as “Star Trek: Enterprise”, “The Good Wife” and “Desperate Housewives”. In the latter, she was cast as Beth Young from 2010 to 2012.
Family and Education
Born in Milton Keynes, England, Bergl attended Glenbrook South High School and Grinnell College. After obtaining a Bachelors of Arts degree in English and Theatre, she trained at HB studio located in New York City.
She welcomed her first child in 2017.
Acting Career
She was first seen in the theatre production “Romeo and Juliet” at San Diego Old Globe Theatre in 1988 and played with Neil Patrick Harris. She also performed in a play called “Becky Shaw”, which was written by American playwright Gina Gionfriddo.
She landed her first acting role in the second part of the horror film “The Rage: Carrie 2”, which was released in 1999. In the film, she played the lead role Rachel Lang. She appeared in other films and television series such as “Happy Campers”, “Wasteland”, “Grassroots” and “Providence”. In the latter, she starred alongside artists like Leslie Silva, Seth Peterson and Paula Cale.
Nominations
Bergl received a nomination from the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films in 2000 in the category of “Best Performance by a Young Actor/Actress”. The nomination was for her role in the movie “The Rage: Carrie 2”.
Trivia
She was in a cabaret show named “Kidding on the Square” which was held in Los Angeles in 2010 and New York in 2011.
