After making her first appearance on the Grand Ole Opry stage in 2000, country musician Elizabeth Cook went on to feature on the show many times. The Florida-born musician is an Ameripolitan Music Award winner as well.
Personal life and Education
She was the youngest among twelve children of Thomas and Joyce Cook. She went to Georgia Southern University and graduated with two degrees in accounting and computer information systems.
Her marriage to guitarist Tim Carroll sadly ended in a divorce.
Music Career
She got a deal with a publishing house and produced the album “The Blue”. She left the publishing house and signed a new contract with Sony Records.
She’s associated with other singers like Jason Isbell, and Buddy Miller.
Her albums include “This Side of the Moon”, “Exodus of Venus”, ``Hey Y’all”, and “Welder”. The latter was named after her dad who learnt how to weld in prison.

She formed a band at age nine.
After graduating from college, she worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers, an international professional services firm.

In 2011, Cook’s album “Welder” received a nomination from Americana Music Awards for the “Album of the Year”.
