About Eliel Saarinen
Eliel Saarinen was a Finnish-born American architect who was regarded as a master of the art nouveau style. He was one of the founders of the Gesellius, Lindgren, Saarinen architectural company and a pioneer of the National Romantic designing style.
As one of the most popular designers during the 20th Century, Saarinen worked on many structures such as the National Museum of Finland, and the Kleinhans Music Hall.
Private Life
He was married to Finnish sculptor and artist Loja Saarinen. The famous architect was blessed with two children named Pipsan Saarinen Swanson, and Eero Saarinen who would follow in the footsteps of his father.
Education
Saarinen was a product of Helsinki University of Technology.
