The American, Eleanor Parker, born Eleanor Jean Parker, was an actress. She was born in Cedarville, U. S. A. After completing Shaw High School, she turned down an offer from a 20th Century-Fox talent scout in order to pursue a professional acting career.
After graduating from Pasadena Playhouse, she signed a contract with Warner Brothers. Some of the films she starred in include “Caged” in 1950, “Interrupted Melody” in 1955, “The Sound of Music” in 1965, “The Bastard” in 1978 and “Dead on the Money” in 1991.
Family
She was the daughter of Lester Day Parker and Lola Isett. She was married four times. First to Fred Lester Losee and it lasted only a year. Then to Bert E. Friedlob (married in 1946, divorced in 1953); Paul Clemens (married in 1954, divorced in 1965) and lastly to Raymond Hirsch in 1966 who died in 2001.
She had four children named Susan Eleanor Friedlob, Sharon Anne Friedlob, Richard Parker Friedlob and Paul Clemens.

She won the Venice Film Festival’s Volpi Cup for Best Actress.
