About Edward Jenner
Edward Jenner was a renowned English scientist and physician regarded as one of the greatest scientists in medical history. He is best known for his pioneering and remarkable work in creating the smallpox vaccine, which is known as the first vaccine ever made.
Family Life
He was the eight of his parents' nine children. In 1788, he married Catharine Kingscote. Catharine bore him three children, including Edward Robert Jenner who died of tuberculosis at a young age. He remained married to Catharine until her death from tuberculosis in 1815.

His work is believed to have saved more lives than any other invention in world history.
