About Eddie Large
Eddie Large was a Scottish comedian who had been professionally active at least since the early 1960s until his death. He is best known as being part of a popular British comedy duo known as Little and Large, with the act’s heyday being in the late 20th century.
He wrote an autobiography called “Larger than Life”, which came out in 2005. Later in his career he had been featured on a number of television shows.
Family Life
Eddie Large got married to Patsy Scott in 1983 – the couple remained married until his death. He has a son named Ryan McGinnis, as well as two daughters.
Achievements
Along with Syd Little, he co-starred in “The Little and Large Show” from 1978 to 1991. In the height of its popularity, 15 million viewers tuned in to the program weekly.
Death
According to his son, Large ultimately passed away from the coronavirus, which he contracted while being in the hospital treating a serious heart condition.
Trivia
He had a heart transplant in 2003.
