Family and Background
Raised by Jewish parents Irma and Robert Deezen, Edward Harry Deezen was born on March 6, 1957, in Cumberland, Maryland. He, a class clown in his youth, aspired to be a stand-up comedian and moved to Hollywood just days after graduating high school to pursue a career. After blowing his previous act and struggling to remember his routine. He eventually decided to give up stand-up and concentrate on acting.
He got married to Linda George but they divorced a few years later.
Career
He secured his first ever and best known role in the film “Grease” (1978) as the nerdy student Eugene Felsnic.
The Maryland-born actor has been in over 30 films, including “Grease”, “WarGames”, “1941”, and “The Polar Express”. He has also appeared on TV shows such as “Magnum PI'', “The Facts of Life”, and “The Gong Show”.
Deezen has done thousands of radio and cartoon voice-overs, including “Dexter's Laboratory'' and “Family Guy”.
Trivia
He was arrested on September 16, 2021, after refusing to leave a restaurant in LaVale, Maryland, for allegedly assaulting a police officer.
The voice actor was arrested again, on April 8, 2022, after illegally entering a nursing facility.
Deezen admits to being a fan of the English bigger-than-life band, the Beatles fan. He has even read over 600 books about the band.
