About Earl Sweatshirt
Earl Sweatshirt is an American rapper who initially gained recognition as a member of the Los Angeles-based hip-hop group Odd Future. He gained further recognition with the release of his 2013 debut studio album Doris. His follow-up album to Doris titled I Don't Like Sh*t, I Don't Go Outside: An Album by Earl Sweatshirt was released in 2015 to critical acclaim.
In 2022 the rapper dropped Old Friend.
Career
He initially rapped under the name Sly Tendencies in 2008 before going on to form the short-lived rap trio The Backpackerz along with his friends. After the demise of the rap trio in 2009, he changed his stage name to Earl Sweatshirt and joined Odd Future. He released his debut mixtape Earl in 2010.
Family Life
He was born to Cheryl Harris and South African poet and political activist Keorapetse Kgositsile.
