Douglas Brinkley is a very popular American historian, globally known for his association with international news channel, CNN. In 2007, he began working as a history professor at Rice University.
Additionally, Brinkley is also famous for his numerous books and public speeches. In 1992, he published his first book which was entitled “Jean Monnet: The Path to European Unity”. He won a couple of awards for his book “The Great Deluge: Hurricane Katrina, New Orleans, and the Mississippi Gulf Coast”. He has also contributed to the Vanity Fair magazine.
