About Doug Williams
Doug Williams played as a professional quarterback in the National Football League from 1978 to 1989. The first African American quarterback to be picked in the first round of an NFL Draft, he made his league debut with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1978 after a college career with the Grambling State Tigers. From 1984 to 1985, he had a stint in the United States Football with the Arizona Outlaws. He made his NFL return in 1986 with the Washington Redskins. He went into coaching in 1991 and has served as a college football head coach for Morehouse and Grambling State.
Family Life
He has eight children from his third marriage to Raunda Williams. He is the uncle of former Dallas Cowboys tight end, Johnny Huggins.
Achievements
He won one Super Bowl championship and a Super Bowl MVP.
