Doug is an American country music singer who shot to fame through his debut platinum-certified self-named album.
Personal Life
At birth, he was named Douglas Jackson Brooks and it is known that his mother was also a country music singer. It was therefore no surprise that he had the talent.
He got his first guitar lessons from his mother but not long after, his parents ended their marriage and he had to move in with his father. This did not stop his musical dreams as he continued singing at different places. Despite being good, he suffered from depression because he was not making the impact he wanted to make. He, however, later was able to overcome it and made the leap he wanted to make.
Stone got married to Carie Cohen. He went on to divorce her and then in 1996 he tied the knot with Beth Snyder.
Career
In addition to his debut project, Stone is known to have put together other really great albums including “I Thought It Was You” in 1991, “From the Heart” which was released the following year, “The First Christmas” in 1992, “Faith in Me, Faith in You” in 1995 and “In a Different Light” in 2005.
