Early Life
The former basketball player first enrolled and graduated from Mark Morris High School. He is an alumnus of Pepperdine University in Los Angeles, California.
Career
Christie made his professional debut playing for the Los Angeles Lakers in 1993. He continued to play as a shooting guard until his contract ended a year later. He went on to sign on with the New York Knicks, playing from 1994 to 1996. He joined the Toronto Raptors later in 1996.
Doug Christie also had a few spells with other teams, including the Orlando Magic and the Dallas Mavericks. He hung up his boots in 2007 after a brief spell playing for the Los Angeles Clippers.

The basketball player married Jackie Christie in 1996.
