About Domenico Cimarosa
Domenico Cimarosa began writing motets during his days in school. After his education, he wrote many operas but started gaining attention with his 1780 work titled “Caio Mario”. Cimarosa, whose works were mostly comedies, was famously known for his 1792 dramma giocoso titled “Il matrimonio segreto”.
The Italian composer produced many musical compositions with some titled “L'italiana in Londra” and “Giannina e Bernardone”.

He spent his early years with his parents who were simply referred to as Gennaro and Anna.
Education
Cimarosa was trained at the Conservatorio di S Maria di Loreto music school.
Trivia
He was the court composer for Russian empress Catherine the Great.
His first opera was titled “Le stravaganze del conte”.
He was trained by Fedele Fenaroli and Gennaro Manna.
