Dinah Shore was an American singer and actress famous for her collection of hit singles such as Jim, Blues in the Night, Skylark , I'll Walk Alone and The Gypsy. She also had a successful television career with shows such as The Dinah Shore Show (later The Dinah Shore Chevy Show), and Dinah! (later Dinah and Friends). As an actress, her film credits include Thank Your Lucky Stars, Follow the Boys and Till the Clouds Roll By. She was widely regarded as one of the greatest television stars of all time.
Personal Life
She married Maurice Smith after her divorce from actor George Montgomery, with whom she had two children. She also had several romantic associations with a number of prominent men, including former Governor of New York Hugh Carey.
Achievements
She was inducted into the Television Hall of Fame in 1991.
