About Diljit Dosanjh
Diljit Dosanjh is a prominent Indian actor, TV host, singer and internet star. He is perhaps more popular as a musician. His presence in Punjabi and Hindi movies has also increased his popularity. He had his breakthrough in the movie industry in 2011 when he played Avtar Singh in the film titled "The Lion of Punjab". He’s gone on to feature in other famous works like "Mukhtiar Chadha" (2015), "Sajjan Singh Rangroot" (2018) and "Honsla Rakh" (2021).
As a singer, he has released dozens of singles with some titled “Proper Patola” and “Do You Know”. He released his first album in 2000 which was under the name “Ishq Da Uda Adaa”.

His parents are Balbir Singh, who worked for Punjab Roadways, and Sukhwinder Kaur, a homemaker. He grew up alongside two siblings.

At the International Indian Film Academy Awards in 2017, his performance in "Udta Punjab" earned him the "Best Debut Actor" prize. At the same event, he was nominated for the "Best Playback Singer - Male" accolade.
Diljit was crowned the "Most Stylish Musician - Actor" at the 2018 Filmfare Glamour And Style Awards.
In 2020, he was named the "Best Comic Actor" at the Zee Cine Awards for his role in "Good Newwz". He also picked up the "Best Actor" laurel at the PTC Punjabi Film Awards that same year.
