Personal Life
He was named Diego Luna Alexander at birth and was the son of a set designer and a costume designer. When he was just two years old, he lost his mother in a car crash. His father nurtured his desire to be in the movie industry. When he got older, he got married to Camila Sodi but the marriage ended about five years later.
Career
When he was just seven years old, he had a chance to act and was featured in a few shows. In 2001, his role in “Y tu mamá también” shot him into popularity. He acted together with Gael García Bernal who was his childhood friend. They had the opportunity to act together in different shows. They then started the company Canana Films. They also started Ambulante A.C. which was awarded the Washington Office on Latin America’s Human Rights Award. He became a member of a section of the Cannes Film Festival later.
Achievement
He had a talk show titled “Pan y Circo” for which he was awarded a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Daytime Talent in a Spanish Language program.
