Derren Brown is an English mentalist, illusionist and author famous for his shows such as Mind Control, Trick of the Mind, Trick or Treat, Darren Brown Investigates and The Experimentsamong several others. As an author, he has written several books on magic, including Absolute Magic and Confessions of a Conjuror.
Awards
In 2006, he won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Entertainment for his stage show Something Wicked This Way Comes. He won his first BAFTA award in 2011 for his television show The Experiments. In 2012, he won another Laurence Olivier Award for his stage show Svengali.
Trivia
He became an atheist in his twenties after he realized that his belief in Christianity had no basis. He announced that was gay in 2007.
