Debra Winger is an American actress famed for playing characters such as Sissy in 1980's Urban Cowboy and Paula Pokrifki in 1982's An Officer and a Gentleman, both of which earned her Golden Globe Award nominations. Her other Golden Globe Award-nominated film roles include Emma Horton in 1983's Terms of Endearment and Martha Horgan in1993's A Dangerous Woman.
Personal Life
She dated a number of famous men, including former Governor of Nebraska Bob Kerrey and actor Nick Nolte. She married actor Timothy Hutton in 1986. The couple had a son before officially bringing an end to their marriage in 1990. Her second marriage was to actor and director Arliss Howard in 1996. The marriage produced one child.
Trivia
In 2009, she was one of the celebrities that spoke out against film director Roman Polanski's arrest and prosecution for defiling a young girl in the 1970s.
