About Dean Paul Martin
Dean Paul Martin was certainly a man of many abilities in spite of primarily being known for his career as a singer and actor. He performed as a member of the pop trio, Dino, Desi & Billy in his teens from 1964 to 1969. He also found success as an amateur tennis player. As an actor, he was known for his roles in the film “Players” and the television series “Misfits of Science”. Having earned a pilot’s license when he was just 16 years old, he went on to pursue a career in the California Air National Guard from 1980, rising to a captain rank.
Family Life
He was the son of singer, comedian and actor Dean Martin and Jeanne Biegger. He had seven other siblings on his father’s side. His first marriage to English actress Olivia Hussey from 1971 to 1978 produced a son. Ice skater Dorothy Hamill was his wife from 1982 to 1984.
Achievements
He earned a Golden Globe Award nomination for his performance in “Players”.
Death
