He had minor roles in “A Knight's Tale”, “Mission: Impossible”, and “Horrid Henry: The Movie”. In 2017, Schneider co-wrote the political satire “The Death of Stalin”. Directed by Armando Iannucci, the film’s plot revolves around the power struggle that ensued after the death of Soviet leader Joseph Stalin. The film starred Steve Buscemi, Paddy Considine, and Simon Russell Beale, among others.
