About David Ricardo
David Ricardo was an English economist famed for his immense contribution to the field of Economics. Some of his famous contributions include his theory of comparative advantage, law of diminishing returns and labor theory of value, among others. His most notable work in Economics is his 1817 book titled On the Principles of Political Economy and Taxation, which played an instrumental role in placing him among the ranks of the greatest classical economists in the world.

He was one of the 17 children born to Abraham Ricardo. In 1793, he married Priscilla Anne Wilkinson and fathered eight children.
Trivia
His Jewish parents disowned him after he married Priscilla Anne and converted to Christianity against their wish.
