About David Moyes
David Moyes is a Scottish football manager and former footballer who began his professional playing career with Celtic in 1980. Upon his departure from Celtic, he played for a number of teams such as Bristol City and Hamilton Academical before beginning his managerial career with Preston North End in 1998. He went on to manage Everton for more than a decade before becoming the manager of Manchester United in 2013 after Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement and departure. He lasted only 10 months with United before moving on to manage Real Sociedad.
Achievements
Over the course of his managerial career, he has won the prestigious LMA Manger of the Year award several times.
Trivia
In 2014, he allegedly assaulted a man in a bar fight in Lancashire. Police investigated the incident but took no action against him.
