Personal Life
The talented David James Stuart Mitchell, being his whole name, was the son of Kathryn Grey Mitchell and Ian Douglas Mitchell and they both worked as hotel managers but they gave up on the full-time job to make more time to raise their child. They got him into Napier House Primary School before he attended New College School.
He made it public that even though he had dreams of becoming a comedian, he worried that admission would be frowned upon by his parents so he told them that he wanted to be a barrister and watched them express joy over it.
Career
He started his career with Robert Webb who he met when he was in the university. In 1995, they put together a show that was titled “Innocent Millions Dead or Dying: A Wry Look at the Post-Apocalyptic Age” but David mentioned that the show was terrible. They went on to put together a few more shows. When he got into acting, he was cast in different shows like “Magician”, “I Could Never Be Your Woman”, and “Fun at the Funeral Parlour”.
