About David Gogo
David Gogo, a seasoned Canadian blues guitarist and author, has received numerous honors for his work, including a Juno nomination for his contribution to Tom Cochrane's enormously popular "Mad Mad World" album.
Background
He was inspired to pursue music at an early age after meeting legendary performer Stevie Ray Vaughan. He began performing regularly as a musician at the age of 16. The Persuaders, a group he started, later served as the opening act for blues artists like Albert Collins.
With EMI Records, he inked a solo contract. French label Dixiefrog Records released his subsequent album, "Dine Under the Stars," in Europe. Ragged Pup/Cordova Bay Records, a Canadian Independent label, also signed him. He released "Come On Down," his 13th album, in July 2013.
Did You Know?
In the Steven Seagal 2008 action film "Kill Switch", his soundtrack was used.
