About David Archuleta
American singer, songwriter and actor, David Archuleta began singing right from the age of six. He won the Utah Talent Competition when he was ten. After this, he started getting opportunities to participate in television singing activities. About two years later, when he clocked twelve, he became Star Search 2's Junior Vocal Champion.
Archuleta appeared on the seventh season of the famous reality TV show, "American Idol", where he finished second. Some of his notable songs include; "Crush", "Something 'Bout Love" and more.
Family Life
He was born into a musically gifted family. His father, Jeff Archuleta is noted to be a jazz musician. His mother, Guadalupe Mayorga is noted to be a salsa dancer and singer. His siblings are namely Daniel, Amber, Jazzy and Claudia Archuleta.
Achievements
He won the "Most Fanatic Fans" and the "Best Smile" at the 2008 Teen Choice Awards. And in 2009, he received award in the categories "Breakout Artist", "Music: Love Song", and the "Music Tour" at the Teen Choice Awards.
Archuleta won the "Music Rising Star" award at the 2009 Alma Awards. In that year, he also picked the "Favorite International Music Video - Crush" award at the MYX Music Awards.
He won the "Favorite Breakthrough TV performance by an Actor" at the 2012 Golden Teevee and Mask Awards.
