About Dave Keon
Dave Keon was voted Toronto Maple Leafs’ greatest player of all-time in 2016. The Canadian center excelled in the junior leagues before he was signed by the Maple Leafs in 1960. He was one of the team’s top performers during the 1960/61 NHL season.
In his 15 years with the Leafs, he won the Stanley Cup four times. During his later years in the league, he starred for the Hartford Whalers. He also played for teams like the Minnesota Fighting Saints, and the New England Whalers.
Family
He’s the grandfather of hockey star Kaitlyn Keon.
Achievements
In 1986, he was selected into the Hockey Hall of Fame. He has also been inducted into the Ontario Sports Hall of Fame, Canada's Sports Hall of Fame, and the World Hockey Association Hall of Fame. Among his numerous awards include the Paul Deneau Trophy, the Calder Memorial Trophy, and the Conn Smythe Trophy.
Trivia
He worked in the real estate industry after retiring from the sport.
