David Lawrence Brewster Jr., professionally referred to as Dave East, is an American rapper who also doubles as an actor.
He rocketed to fame in 2014 with the help of his mixtape dubbed “Black Rose”. The mixtape caught the attention of rapper Nas, who signed him to his label named “Mass Appeal Records”.
He released his first EP titled, “Paranoia: A True Story” in 2017 and it featured collaborations with some top artistes such as Chris Brown and Wiz Khalifa.
He started acting in 2017 and got featured in the series “Being Mary Jane”.

In 2016, he gave birth to a daughter called Kairi Chanel Brewster.

He was nominated at the BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Awards for the category of Social Star in 2017.
