Family
His parents were Tynan O'Mahony and Jean Archer. Allen married Judith Stott in 1964; sadly, their marriage ended in divorce about two decades later. Following the divorce, the comedian remarried. He tied the knot with Karen Stark in 2003. All in all, Dave Allen bore three children.
Career
He first appeared on television on the BBC Talent Show “New Faces” in 1959. During the mid-1960s, he appeared on several shows, including “Sunday Night at the London Palladium” on ITV and “The Val Doonican Show” on the BBC. He worked for Australian television network Channel 9 as the presenter of the television talk show “Tonight with Dave Allen” in 1963. His most famous show “Tonight with Dave Allen”, a comedy series, first aired in 1967.
